Dream of Sinking Ship

It was me, you, friends and family.
I dream of a sinking ship. I was terrified and there's nothing that I can do about it.
I watch as the wave hits. We were going down.

There I was, million feet under the sea watching the ship....

It certainly feels strange and creepy.
Like many others, I immediately went to Google about it.

The water symbolizes both the mind and the soul and the culmination of those two things into what we call emotions. The water is basically a metaphor, in our dreams, for our own emotions, and a boat is our own ability to cross through those emotions and to navigate our own feelings.

If you dream of your boat sinking this is a sign that you need to try harder in the future to control the way you feel. You have not been able to handle yourself the way that you should. Even though sometimes it can be a good thing to express your emotions, when you see a boat sinking in your dreams this is a sign that what you have been doing lately is not the good or constructive kind of emotional expression. You have gone beyond the realm of mere expression and these are now being translated into outbursts. You simply cannot keep control of yourself any longer.

Did I went outta control?
I don't know. The bad temper always hit.

Fifteen Hours.

Not sure whether it was because of the rising pressure from work, or any build up little issue back home is bothering me. I rant, I rage easily, I then start thinking too much - negatively.

I want to talk. I need to talk. The repeating dream every night, it is driving me nuts.
In a office that is full of products, in a bed that's filled with papers, and I was running in a jungle made from numbers. Eyes are everywhere, mostly staring with disagreement.
It must be the year end thingy.

Well, one more week.
Ending the year end sales meeting, just another week to go - for the very little details to be done for closing. I want this to be over quickly!

I think I should go for a real shopping spree to kick these nonsense off.

15 hours till year 2015, tic toc.

Ending 2014, Making WithLouise Alive!

It has been a while since I last blogged.
Well, the last post was more than a year ago. I guess I forgot about it until Pagan asked me for it.
It's not that my life is dull or extremely eventful, it was ... normal. Twenty Fourteen has been a good year to me.
A roller coaster ride from life experience in work, friendship, family, finance and everything that gave me a shock but thank God, I survived it.

Imma gonna be random as I type.
Random events, random stories, random jokes, anything that run across my mind now.

I've learn that people come and go. I've learn that you are only strong because you've been weak; I even have the thoughts of putting a tattoo to it so that I do not fall again.
I've learn to start from zero, literally. Climbing up was tough but it was all worthy. I'm grateful that I met wonderful peoples and have amazing friends that never judge during my tough time, and the helps and encourages advises I get.

I've gained 10 kgs in a year and that puts a frown on my face! But now that I'm back to normal, I then come to realization that, isn't everything supposed to be this way? Things will be back to normal no matter how terrible, horrible it went.

Speaking of the weight gained, I discovered a way to lose weight that caters all you alcoholics out there. Good news? More beer!
I changed my diet a little by cutting carbs (once a day, usually breakfast), normal lunch (without carbs), and beer for dinner! In 3 months, I threw 7 kgs outta window! Now, do not tell me anything that says beer is fattening or highest calories among all alcohol. The fattening part comes from your supper, or any snacks that you're holding on your hand now I assume.

And that, puts me back to cooking. I love cooking. I love baking. I love the smells in the house whenever someone's cooking. For this I've started a small business, selling food in a jar. Mainly healthy bites or upon request for client's occasions. It feels great to look at the little jars of happiness.
On a side note, a couple of friends started their own business too! It certainly feel good to see friends around growing their hobby or interest steadily into business (I always agree to doing what you're liking is best thing to grow). The little effort that comes from everyone to help, the ups and downs.

I've quit the alcohol industry and got myself a job in a FMCG supplying company thanks to Christine. Instead of helping the lost souls now, I'm supplying happiness products! I love my job. I no longer need to stay up till late for work. I no longer need to drink for drinking. I'm enjoying my drinks just like how I used to be! I love the hangout sessions with friends instead of visiting different pubs and clubs days and nights. I'm spending more time at home with the love ones. I'm healthier, I guess.  >.<

I'm back to diving, the silent and beauty in the sea still fascinates me like mad! I still travels, but it is subjected to the availability from work. I shall post up some photos sometime soon.

Ok, that's too much typing. I think I should spend more time here, again.
Now, its about time for a beer.

Till then,
L.

Weekend at TDH Cider Saturday Massacre!

tumblr_m9n66bnhBc1qax1quo1_500

I know I'm a little too late as it's touching mid of the month already but #niggasaywhuuuut? Better late than never. Out of many drunken days in the past few months, I find this particularly amusing and yea, counted as one of the best day ever!

I woke up hungover of one beautiful Saturday and decided to go for brunch with the #barefootchics group. Just when I thought I could get another 20 mins of sleep, Caryn said "No, get ready and I'm on my way to pick you up, let's go somewhere."

For us being us. Coffee sounds strange, pretty sure our body's autopilot system would direct us to our right place. So yea, started with my favorite booze/boost of the day - Bloody Mary w lotsa lotsa lotsa tobasco at Circus KL. -_-

If you have to ask if it's too early to drink...You're an amateur & we can't be friends.

Nowadays taking car seems to be too mainstream. Our friends are busy flying all over the world than being in town. Hours of catching up with the #barefootchics with drinks and taaadaaaa, off we go to TDH madness Cider Saturday! (Ten bucks/each for any cider in the house!)

As we all agreed to go slow with the silent killer, it went perfectly well for the.... first 90 minutes I would say.
Photos were great, peoples talking, everything's normal.

Then sh*t happened. Sorry, I mean #HAVOC happened!
What do you expect? The booze was cheaper than petrol!

Life Is Like A Roller Coaster.

Morning, how about a cuppa coffee?

Untitled
TOKL, Jalan Tun H.S.Lee

Have you ever realize how close life is connected to a ride on the roller coaster?

1. All start with our greatest anticipation to step into the adventure
2. You move on to the big drop
3. It doesn't matter whether you're taking the front/back seat - same experience
4. You have to be in the game - watching aside ain't got you nothing
5. Up and down - fun and terrifying
6. You might scream and shout or worst, throw up or give up
7. Remember, there are tons of people are with you on the ride!
8. Both requires you to 'follow the rules' to secure yourself
9. Both came in all forms regardless to shapes, conditions, colors or whatsoever - expect the unexpected.
10. Both pass so fast and doesn't last long for you to remember

Life is like a roller coaster.
It has its ups and downs, but the choice is in your hand either to scream or enjoy the ride.

If you're afraid to participate, you have no idea what you're missing.
Step out from your comfort zone, it might be the greatest ride you'll ever had.

My choice? Both of them.

Lazy updates; Chillin' Places To Visit.

Afternoon peeps!

I went through my Instagram photos before I sleep last night and I realize there are some cool places I've visited in recent days. Since "sharing is caring"; my bad if I don't share this with you lovelies no?

1. Pisco Bar, Changkat Bukit Bintang

  • 29 Jalan Mesui, off Jalan Nagasari
  • 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A hidden gem located in one of the busiest street in city center, serving you authentic Peruvian cuisine and lips smacking cocktails. You can never go wrong with a glass of Pisco Sour.
Consider yourself lucky if you see someone start dancing on the bar, or you could be next! :)

Untitled

2. Aoyama Japanese Restaurant, Sri Hartamas
Ground Floor, No.8, Jalan 27/70A, Desa Sri Hartamas, K.L (Opposite the open car park)

My new found love after Ozeki in Kuala Lumpur. I was told that it has opened their door since ten years ago. Pre-book your dinner a day or two before and save your time on thinking what to pick from their menu.  Let them know about your preferred food choices and ready for some foodgasm.

Untitled

3. Fat Spoon, Uptown Damansara

A place introduced by my #barefootchics in Uptown Damansara.
Cosy interior design with creative food menu. Try their Spicy Beef Macaroni or the colorful Ulam Fried Rice, it's reallllly good! Many attractive items on their menu with reasonable price that I would love to go back for more!
Maybe we do a lunch date soon?

Untitled

4. Mr. and Miss, Oasis Ara Damansara

Dropped by for lunch with my boss after a meeting last week and had wonderful time! Love the interior design and the props on the table for customers to play around or #takepicha.
Great big breakfast and Carbonara, check it out if you're around the corner. :)

Too lazy to write further, I shall do another one sooooon.
Meanwhile, do check out these awesome places!

Unemployment Chapter 1: Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa, Sepang

Some say unemployment is capitalism's way of getting you to plant a garden. Yes I'm planting mine, planting an eyeful experience from little part of the world. Or shall I put it in another way; I'm on an intensive training program to become a Professional Couch Guard. Sounds better?

I've mentioned in my previous post, I spent 3 days 2 nights at the Golden Palm Tree resort with my dearest one, just two days after quitting my job. You gotta start somewhere close before the journey to the further place.

Let's not mention the dirty beach side and focus on the hotel surrounding and it's facilities. Look aside, I bet ya all know how beautiful and cosy the place is. We had some fun driving around thanks to Waze the powderful GPS apps, but thank goodness we arrived just in time to catch the beautiful sunset.

Untitled

It wasn't my first visit to this resort, I went there back in 2011 thanks to the courtesy of Carlsberg Where's The Party. It didn't change much but instead it looked like it aged a little.

So what exactly can you do in a no-man's land for 3 days 2 nights?

1. Dig into the scrumptious hotel buffet spread. My secret?
I took the whole jar of Nutella to accompany a waffles tower. *shhhhhh* :x

2. Take a slow walk by the beach. You might want to apply some bug repellent before walking in, we ended up getting bites that itch for a week and it leaves fugly bite marks. :'(

3. Spend an afternoon or two by the infinity pool with a couple of beers. If you're on a budget trip, you can BYO the drinks of your choice.

4. Drive out. There are plenty of good food places around the area, but in case you just wanna laze, you could always visit their in house restaurants. The food was OK with reasonable hotel prices.

I wouldn't mind having such workstation at home. :D

Benefit of being unemployed.

Hello!

It's been a while since my last update. Sorry, I've been busy.
I quit my job for almost a month. Well, the advantage of being unemployed is more party, catch up with friends, try hard to read up all the books I bought from book fair, travel around, hoping to find peace (ok, nonsense) or a piece of myself around.

Yes, I'm fulfilling my wishes one by one as I promised at the beginning of the year.

Untitled

See the world.

Just a quick one of what I've been doing.
I kicked off my unemployment days with  Sepang Gold Coast, Cambodia, Janda Baik and I'm now considering if I should get my diving license done as well.

I'm staying in tonight and since I have nothing better to do, I decided to share some pictures.
They are totally random, but .... I love it.

#Sunset at Golden Palm Tree Resort, Sepang.

Untitled

# Food around.

Untitled

Ten days in Cambodia. You must be thinking that I'm crazy, or questioning what possibly could I do? In fact I didn't do much. Everyday, I walked into random streets, cycled through the city, met new faces or better, picked a good spot for drinks and relaxation.

# One of my fav spot in Siem Reap, a small but cosy cafe to spend my afternoon with a good cuppa tea.

Untitled

# A day in Angkor Wat to explore the gorgeous temples from 9th century.
Although we were toasted from the merciless 40 Celsius degree, I gotta admit, they are drop dead beautiful.

Untitled

# A very interesting glowing pub in Pub Street

Untitled

# A great getaway from KL city, Janda Baik.

Untitled

# Spending more time with my boys.

Untitled

So yep, don't worry, I'm still in one piece!

Untitled

Perks of being unemployed? Find out yourself when you decided to fire your boss.
The goal to achieve? Empty your saving.

Post in details will be up next when I'm motivated.

Till then,
xx LouiseXin
