Lazy updates; Chillin' Places To Visit.

Afternoon peeps!

I went through my Instagram photos before I sleep last night and I realize there are some cool places I've visited in recent days. Since "sharing is caring"; my bad if I don't share this with you lovelies no?

1. Pisco Bar, Changkat Bukit Bintang

A hidden gem located in one of the busiest street in city center, serving you authentic Peruvian cuisine and lips smacking cocktails. You can never go wrong with a glass of Pisco Sour.
Consider yourself lucky if you see someone start dancing on the bar, or you could be next! :) 

2. Aoyama Japanese Restaurant, Sri Hartamas
Ground Floor, No.8, Jalan 27/70A, Desa Sri Hartamas, K.L (Opposite the open car park)

My new found love after Ozeki in Kuala Lumpur. I was told that it has opened their door since ten years ago. Pre-book your dinner a day or two before and save your time on thinking what to pick from their menu.  Let them know about your preferred food choices and ready for some foodgasm.



3. Fat Spoon, Uptown Damansara

A place introduced by my #barefootchics in Uptown Damansara.
Cosy interior design with creative food menu. Try their Spicy Beef Macaroni or the colorful Ulam Fried Rice, it's reallllly good! Many attractive items on their menu with reasonable price that I would love to go back for more!
Maybe we do a lunch date soon?



4. Mr. and Miss, Oasis Ara Damansara

Dropped by for lunch with my boss after a meeting last week and had wonderful time! Love the interior design and the props on the table for customers to play around or #takepicha.
Great big breakfast and Carbonara, check it out if you're around the corner. :)




Too lazy to write further, I shall do another one sooooon.

Taiwanese Stone Pot Steamboat @ Fong Lye, The Gardens.

I love steamboat. Best with the companion with love on a silent rainy night. 

I bet most of you are very familiar with all the buffet deals that most of the outlets are doing right now especially in Subang & Puchong area. Huge selection of ingredients but you can hardly find one that serves you the right quality, especially seafood. So given a choice, I still prefer ala carte menu that serve you just the right portion of quality food. 

We went to Fong Lye Fusion in The Gardens Mall some time ago to try their Taiwanese Steamboat. Ordered a course meal for 2 pax at RM 98.00 includes appetisers, steamboat material such as seafood, meatballs, vegetables and etc. 

Beautiful mixture of dipping sauce. 

Colourful appetisers that open up your appetite in one second! 

Complimentary appetiser: Jelly-O steam egg, crabmeat maki & spinach. 

Here comes our soup base in hot stone pot with spicy soup. For the package, you could choose either normal yin-yang pot or hot stone pot). Unlike the plain soup base you get in the other places, it comes with a pot full of vegetables, mushrooms, and others which make it savoury! I actually thought for a minute that every materials on the menu were inside the soup already. Surprisingly, it's not. 

Extremely "ho-liao" soup base.

Of course I was wrong.

You will get two bowls of fresh ingredients like prawns, clams, fish slices, squids and of course meatballs and fresh vegetables. My favourite? Egg dumplings. 

Say cheeeeese!

So, put everything (maybe not) into the pot and let the party begin! 

With each ingredients you add into the soup actually change the taste completely. The heavy soup base without anything was already heavenly but with the seafood and meat slices added that enhance the flavour, it was oh-so-yum! 

I personally love the shrimp & fish paste on the side that you made a little meatball into the soup. If you can't do it right, get the super friendly staff or even the restaurant manager would do it for you. 

Poor Angry Bird, nomnomnomx. 

Can't wait any longer.

Major love for everything we had. 

We didn't manage to finish everything unfortunately, I think it could serve up to 3 pax if you're not a big eater. Sure, you could order some other dishes like the tepanyaki to accommodate more people. I'll definitely go back to try some other courses on the menu soon!

RM 98 ++ for such generous portion of quality food and excellent service, I think you might want to give it a try too? :x

Ozeki Tokyo Cuisine, Jln P.Ramlee

I'm always a big fan to Japanese food, not every one of them but those who serve fresh food and I can be especially picky when it says 'authentic'. This one? They said it loud "The Best Japanese in Town!", sounds a little cheeky don't they? But I've heard many good comments from friends and colleagues (she's handling the account) so I thought we should give it a try since it's only 10 minutes away from home.

It's sort of located in Menara TA in Jalan P.Ramlee, it is kinda hidden that you might missed it without paying attention. So yea, it took the blur-fish some time to get into the parking (open car park on the right).



Walked into a wide dining area with open-concept kitchen, we were greeted from the staff and got our seat behind a private partition.





Glanced through the menu and I saw Bashashi (raw horse meat)! Not many Japanese restaurant in KL serve this and I thought it was a little too wild for my taste so we skipped it.
So first on the table we had my all time favourite - Edamame bean (RM 9).



1 Chawanmushi (RM 8) for each of us, it took them a while to prepare this but man it was hell lotsa tickle to my tastebud! The flavour from each ingredient in it was so strong and fresh! I usually leave the ginkgo seeds cuz most of the time what I got was weird in taste but I actually gulp the entire bowl down. Probably the best I've ever had.



California Maki (RM 19), no one can ever do this wrong, am I right? :)



Spicy Fire Tuna Maki (RM 28), fear not the fire. It is not at all like it's name. There were some Korean spicy pickles and spices which taste more sweet than spicy to us. But still, the taste actually blends well with each other so we're more than happy to have it.



Sushi & Sashio Moriawase - Kiku standard grade (RM 95), includes tako, tuna, salmon, white tuna, hotate, tamago, and more! We definitely enjoy them with the ultra kick from the fresh grind wasabi. Though I heard from my colleague, they have air-flown delivery twice a week (on Monday and Thursday if I'm not mistaken), so better option for you to visit on one of these two days.





Soft Shell Crab Spicy Age (RM 28) - crunchy bites with teriyaki sauce then again, it wasn't spicy that I'm guessing the definition of spicy is different between me and the Japanese. Or it wasn't suppose to be spicy that it's just a name? Correct me please?



We ordered a special of the month from the tent cards placed on table, Wagyu something (RM 68) I can't remember but I think it was American wagyu that it was too dry and wasn't up to expectation.



Top the night with a bottle of Sake to your best satisfaction I would say. That "the best" comment is of course up to personal opinion, overall it was really a great dinner and we will definitely go back for more!

Viva la Circus!

Some days ago, I received something like this, a media invite to the launch of C.I.R.C.U.S.

Circus? So excited because I thought I was invited to a newest party organizer in town that I will be welcome by clowns, acrobats, or maybe trained animals and etc.

Little did I know, instead of throwing fireballs around, I was welcomed by a pail of funky props with photo booth along with a glass of bubbly in a modern setup bistro and classy cocktail lounge. :O *these are definitely more exciting than monkeys*

No, you do not walk into a amphitheatre or a cage.
What you'll need to do is look for is a gorgeous place located at one of you most favourite mall in KL, Pavilion - Fashion Avenue.
Circus, is positioned at the forefront of Pavilion KL's Jalan Raja Chulan entrance (opposite Coffee Bean/Spazzio in case you still don't know).

The previously known as Al-Amar Lebanese Cuisine has now been rebranded to the Eatertainment Group, having a portfolio expanding with Circus, a modern bistro and cocktail lounge targeting people who loves gathering, relax, mix, mingle, great food and drinks, or as simple as me - lovin' the FUN!

Boasting a stylish interior which transports visitors into a decadent world of glamour and escapism at the entrance, Ciscus is equipped with mood-altering lighting effects that metamorphose the decoration and atmosphere from a modern, casual eatery to a trendy cosmopolitan dinner and drinks which promise to entice your cravings at anytime.

Soothing music was played and colour at the bar switches randomly changes visitor's mood immediately into a relax state.

I adore the overall set up and decoration, a combination of rich contrast of artistic and elegant elements gives people a funky yet sophisticated experience in a restaurant. Artworks on the wall, statues, even the dining tables!

Lovin' the art paints hanged around Circus, definitely a WOW (Word of Wisdom)  effect to the visitors :)

So with the usual suspect of party people and partners, we most definitely enjoyed this finest evening with the delightful drinks and canapes served by Circus. Can't wait to go back soon to try out their menu!
We even found horses in three lunar cycles! So I'm the youngest; since I'm the 12 years old ones, guessing some of them might be 24...and etc. :P

I think "Mr. Jason Mraz" and I share the same age!. Who knows?

Speaking out loud? 

The bloggers and friends invited certainly turned the entire venue into a real..circus. :P Couldn't be more happy and excited I must say. The girl friend is now thinking of throwing her birthday party there!

Bali Part I: Dinner in Jimbaran Bay

I celebrated my birthday with the beloved ones by visiting Bali back in February.
A total of 10days trip there. Yes, it might sounds crazy to you for staying more than a week there but I'm telling you, you're so wrong! I wish I could stay a little longer.



Visited spots where the not many of the tourists would do, explored seaside and beaches that you hafta travel thru roads that no one ever been (ok, a little too exaggerate). And of course makan at the recommended spots on the Internet (afterall I'm still a tourist).

Thanks to my dearest loves, we had a scrumptious dinner on the first night I landed on Bali in Lia Cafe, Jimbaran Bay. Everyone travelling to Bali has to dine on this stretch of beach that full of seafood restaurants. :)



Ikan Bakar, heavenly delicious for a hunger kids like me.

Clams.



And my ultimate love at all time.



Very simple but delicate dinner by the beach. Unfortunately we missed out the sunset view and yes it is true, the seafood on this particular spot are over-priced compare to others. Make sure you know the price before making your selection to avoid splurging from your wallet. ;)

I had the best accommodation in the love's. Oh boy, I miss the crazy weather and heat.

Let’s Meet Up After Work At Al-Amar Express, Bukit Bintang!

What are the options during lunch? E called me for lunch some day last week to Al-Amar for their significant Lebanese cuisine. Lunch for three, too good for a sunny Tuesday.

Al-Amar Express holds an enviable position being poised on the sidewalk of Jalan Bukit Bintang right in front of the main entrance of Fahrenheit 88 shopping mall.

A modern, hip and contemporary space with cozy furniture custom-designed especially for the restaurant, where textures and colors of the interior come in a soft soothing shades of cream and beige, with wooden floor and touches of Al-Amar’s signature stamp of red.

Right, speaking of the best place to grab a seat after all your shopping.



Suspended from the high ceiling are numerous black wire chandeliers that gives a soft shimmering glow. The exterior side of the restaurant has been modeled using a large expanse of glass walls where customers can enjoy watching the busy crowds of KL stroll by.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 80 persons and has both indoor and alfresco dining areas. Guests can also choose from an extensive range of fruit flavored Shishas on the veranda while listening to hip chill-out lounge music. Couldn't resist the lovely scene of Shishas, Fat Lou pops her cherry for Shisha.



For food lovers, Al-Amar menu consists of a combination of Lebanese wraps, healthy sandwiches, chawarmas, salads and Manakeesh (Lebanese pizzas).



Delicious foodies, Shisha, Backgammon, and one of the ng that keep me busy - picking up the rules of Backgammon and tried really hard to win.



Al-Amar Express is open for breakfast and serves a wide array of Lebanese pastries offering diners an alternative to the usual western or continental options. Prices start from RM8 - RM25 per dish. Don't worry you workaholics, Al-Amar also provide attractive lunch combos & dinner at affordable price ranging from RM19 - RM25!
