New Year's Eve at W Hotel, Seminyak Bali

Ok, let's skip that million things that I want to post but I decided I should share my new year's eve in Bali first with ya! I bet many of you had a havoc night out for party or simple as a gathering with friends. For us? So many "obstacles" to go through which I think it make the best night out of all.

Kicked off the day chilling by the pool in villa after breakfast was simply blissful.



Weeks before we depart, we wanted to book the very famous Potato Head NYE count down's party but unfortunately it was fully booked and all tickets are sold out. Ku De Ta is of course, sold out too!

So during the day itself, we decided to drop by to check if there's any ticket sold  on the spot. We were told to come back at 7pm sharp as they have 150 tickets for walk in, and they don't encourage queue up so we have to be there on time!

It's not worth wasting every minutes of sunlight, we went around Seminyak area and visited the next happening spot - W Hotel, apparently one of the hottest spot in Bali for the day.



The entire place is so beautiful with modern interior design with the most spectacular beach front view. But then again, a night stay in the hotel would cost us the same with the villa we rented for a week. :|



It was actually the one and only day that we got perfect weather with sun shining on our face during the entire trip. Now come to think about it, I think we were kinda lucky to stuck in this beautiful spot.

Great spot for mingle, relax, chilling, and of course some gossip. :P

Spotted a special NYE's liquid menu just for the day itself. I wasn't surprise that the prices are all sky high but some are seriously, r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s ! For example, I wouldn't pay $400 (RM1200) for a bottle of Black Label, or would ya? 

But drinks by glass were acceptable. ($15/each)



Perhaps due to it's busy crowd in the afternoon, the service at Woobar was terrible! We tried to call the waiter/waitress for 3 times and waited for half an hour but no one gives a damn to us. Got us quite grumpy but when we finally had our food, it compensate a lit. :S

We travelled back to the villa for a quick shower after lunch, and went back to Potato Head at 6pm to find out that all tickets are already sold out around 5pm! WTF major disappointed because they insisted us not to go queue up or whatsoever. And why would you start selling them at 5pm when you told us to go back at 7pm?!

Knowing there's no chance for us to get in, we found L hotel for dinner before the NYE party started.
Overpriced menu with average quality, I don't recommend it unless you're running out of idea.

Stopped by different places to check on their NYE's party and realize the best is still W Hotel for London Beats & Resident's DJ. Since all of them shares the same beach, I suppose it's gonna be fantastic to watch the fireworks regardless where you are!




Then again when we reached W Hotel, we faced another issues where guest with shorts are not allowed to enter! Anyway, long story short, the boyf managed to get in before 12 am and everything went perfectly well after.  ;;)

Witnessed one of the merriest fireworks on the beach and party crowd was definitely a WOW experience. Didn't manage to capture a good video of the fireworks but I guess you could Google NYE in Bali and watch it on Youtube.



Fun starts pouring in after the count down and too much Gin & Tonic can never do you wrong on a new year's eve party! :D 

Experienced probably one of the most dramatic night ever but we had fun eventually!
So, no regrets!  :x

Hello Two-O-One-Three!

Hello lovelies! First post of the year and yea, Happy New Year!

We just came back from 7 days holiday in Bali with NYE. There were numbers of disappointing issues and the rain! But we still manage to catch some laugh with the good companion. Anyway, we'll talk about this later.

So, 2012 had been an eventful year with too many parties, good and bad events, went through up and down but it was a very, very interesting year indeed.

A quick recap of the year, I changed my job, tasted the best food, lost my phone, a boyfriend from the roadside ( :P ), watched a rockin' concert for the very first time, several good vacations, parachute with love, oh my god how much I love the feeling of starring at the fantastic view from sky! Also did scuba diving for the first time, swim with dolphins, adopted two most lovely kitties that brought tons of cherish into my life and of course I met tons of new friends and good people!

Long story short, a really fruitful year with lotsa fun and yes, got a couple of ticks on my to-do-list before 30 years old. You know its never too early to have 'the list'.

Now, it would be great if I can achieve the mains in this year; or I should put it this way, I want these to happen!

• Avoid getting drunk
• Some serious saving and avoid end up with grass (you get what I mean) every month
• At least 3 getaways 
• Higher achievement on career

Loads more shoes, clothes and last but not least, happiness and laughter! 

The world hasn't end!
So, I hope 2013 is gonna rock up better and I know it will be. After all, we are young!




So let's set the world on fire, we can burn brighter than the sun!

Best beef noodles in town - Lai Foong Kopitiam.

Many fancies a hot bowl of slurpee noodles during the rainy day.
I could have one any time, any day.
Tried numbers of beef noodles in KL yet this is still my favourite place. Have your favourite noodles type with the most delicious long-boiled soup based, you couldn't taste it anywhere else but Lai Foong Kopitiam.

They say don't judge a book by it's cover. Hidden under the roof of an aged-building,  Lai Foong is located in Jln H.S Lee, approximately 2 minutes walk from central market.

There are many stalls within the shop but I always go for the beef noodles.
With about RM 6 (various depends on your personal choices of ingredients), you couldn't ask for more.



I don't eat inners so lean meat is always my choice.
Go for the soup ones, I assure you're gonna leave the shop without regret even with dripping sweat. :D






Three generous portion bowls of noodles with beef balls and it cost us RM 22 only. Man, I can now R.I.P.

Waking up late during the weekend don't always do wonders. But it does when you're totally drained throughout the long week. I love waking up smelling a cuppa coffee; it used to be milo but I guess its different now.

We went to Antipodean KL last weekend for the launch of Somersby brunch.
I've been to the one in Bangsar couple of times so I think it might be good to introduce one of the very good place for breakfast in KL.

Both outlets in Bangsar and KL served the exact same menu and to my surprise, they have same interior design and everything else. Speaking of consistency, thumbs up!

Cuppa flat white to start my engine.

We've ordered way too many dishes just for the two of us. And I selfishly have the big breakfast with beef bacon all by myself. :) It usually cost RM 22 but it comes with a bottle of Somersby for the price of RM 32. Does it ring a bell to you for the 10 bucks cider in TDH every once in a while?



Up to personal preferences, you could have sausage instead of bacon on the plate.



Egg Marlborough with Salmon. I find the eggs a lit overcooked and it didn't turn out as well as the one I've tried in Bangsar. However, we couldn't manage to eat it after our plateful of meal so we finished the smoked salmon instead. :P



Haloumi Salad.
One of my favourite salad ever since I've been introduced to Haloumi cheese in Al- Amar Express.
It was very refreshing and I should say that it is very good as an appetiser.



The lamb burger.
Consist layers of greens, cheese, patty and bacon, it was a good combination. But the patty was a lit dry and there wasn't much sauce used in the burger so we have to ask for ketchup or chilli sauce to go with.

Carlsberg MY & Luen Heng F&B Annual Party @ Sunway Surf Beach

Even though working in this company can be quite the pain in the ass, sometimes; we do enjoy it every once in a blue moon. For example, party where we don't actually need to work. Gathered up to 2000 staffs including central and outstation birds in Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach, Carlsberg Malaysia and Luen Heng F&B threw one hell of a party again to reward all the hard work from everyone throughout the year.

Long programme list to run down for the night and I must say the most entertaining part is the performance competition from 8 different team that represents different brand of product that we carry. Well, time for some monkey show! I'm not sure if this count as fortunate or the other way, I was included in the performance team.

And our call is? Asahi.



My colleague cum the 'director' had scheduled a rehearsal every once a week for a month. So the hell begin. It was not because of the performance sucks, it was because I was suffering from too much laughter during the rehearsal!



Everything went perfectly well until we actually change the entire concept into a Japan Super Hero party.
The day one brought the rented costume and .... You'll see.



My usually serious but not so serious manager instantly upgraded to my super hero!



Different rounds of trying and we finally came up with a decision.
The ultra-man, SailorMoon, naked Sumo, Geisha, and a Joker out of no where. -_-"   (TELL ME YOU'RE NOT LAUGHING!)



So the day finally arrived and we did a round of rehearsal on the stage. Spot the PSY on the stage? If only my boss can stay still, sometimes.



We're back to the exact spot 2 hours later but with a much cooler stage and couldn't help but thinking, are we really gonna do that stunt? Well it was nothing..nothing but a tiny stage with three projector to feature your ugly face into 2 thousand people. :S



A perfect example for the 'must' featured face.



Hide behind the stage for an hour is usually ok but under the rain?! :/ We had pint after pint of Jagermeister instead of beer. Probably the largest cuppa Jager I've ever seen in my life.

It took me a while to decide if I should put up the video but I think you guys deserve a good laugh after the whole grandma story of preparation and all. Or, just a good laugh with Louise and tell me what do you think about it?  :)



To our surprise, we won the grand prize of the night for RM2000. Boss decided to top it up with extra $$ just because we made him proud! Well well well, perhaps we are not that bad after all.

We were shooting the boss with water gun all night long and we thought, why not throw him into the water directly? Not gonna tell you if we did or not but, it was surely a havoc night!
