Pinnacle of the H-Artistry Trilogy 2012

Hello lovelies,

So the pinnacle of the H-Artistry Trilogy is arriving soon in town, shortly after the one we went in KWC a while ago! Well, I guess that's what happen most often when you're living in the hangover city. Then again, tell me who would want to missed the biggest H-Artistry party?

Expecting a  party crowd of 3500 pax with the ultra cool red&black carpet, the party is back and the super-clubbing event is set in Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) in Mines Resort City on 3rd of November 2012 from 8:30pm onwards.

Hennessy Artistry @ KWC - A Great Party!

The widely anticipated super-clubbing phenomenon H-Artistry – The Global Art of Mixing struck the heart of Kuala Lumpur for the first time in 2012, bringing forth a spectacular mix of music, delectable tastes of Hennessy V.S.O.P. long drinks, and a trademark H-Artistry party atmosphere.

Global Art of Mixing Trilogy - Hennessy Artistry's back !

Hot off raising the roof in Penang at the Straits Quay Convention Centre this June, H-Artistry returns to the heart of Kuala Lumpur for the second instalment of 2012’s Global Art of Mixing Trilogy!

The upcoming H-Artistry party is set to take place at KWC Kuala Lumpur, promising an eclectic mix and a phenomenal super-clubbing experience on 8 September 2012.

As H-Artistry zeros in on Kuala Lumpur’s latest wholesale fashion hub, around 3,000 party goers will be treated to a mix of world-class music and the trademark H-Artistry atmosphere.

Hennessy V.S.O.P Cognac New Design

Yellow peeps! How's your week going so far? I'm fighting with my crazy working hours, so dead.
Anyway, remember the launch of  Hennessy V.S.O.P new design by Chris Bangle I went last month? I shall reveal the secrets behind it's new design for ya lovelies.

Inspired by the Hennessy V.S.O.P. bottle created in 1954, Chris Bangle chose to stabilize the bottle with a thicker base resembling a pedestal to distinguish the entire design.On the bottle itself, it is slightly accentuated the curve in the side, reinforcing the dynamic of its silhouette (by less than 1 millimetre).

A hollow bottom is added to the bottle to adapt it for handling. Lengthened the bottle’s neck is was lengthened and its shoulders was straightened, stretching it vertically.
Two lines of perspectives were drew in the glass around the central label, creating an optical effect by structuring the front of the bottle with a pyramid perspective (a reminder of the notion of uplift, dear to V.S.O.P.)

CB Video Still 4Actually, this geometry attracts one’s regard toward the top of the bottle, where Chris Bangle chose to engrave the legendary arm and axe of the Hennessy family into the glass itself.

Revised the choice of paper and colours for the labels: a few millimetres from the arm and axe, the symbolic Hennessy V.S.O.P. oval is colored in a dark grey ennobled with golden embossing, a reminder of the alchemy of contrasts comprising it. The main label highlights this refinement with a shimmering gloss imprinted with clusters of grapes and vine leaves in the background as a subliminal reminder of the origins of the cognac contained in the bottle.

On the Hennessy V.S.O.P box, it has also benefited from this renewal, giving its edges over to a more modern vision: the sides have been refined so that all we see is the bottle, dramatised by photographer Adam Savitch. The “Superior” quality of the cognac is evoked by the liquid splash of V.S.O.P. on the back of the bottle, a reminder of the curves of an “S”.

Lastly, one side of the box, called “Black Tie”, glorifies elegant purity on a black background decorated with a band of golden vine leaves, echoing the bottle’s label. This band is part of the heritage of the Hennessy V.S.O.P. box created in 1954, where it appeared in a red and gold version.

On the security side, a laser stamp for the 35-cl, 70-cl and 3-litre bottles and a hologram of increased complexity (now with new horizontal lines forming a grape cluster) seal the cap. The “Superior” quality of the cognac is evoked by the liquid splash of V.S.O.P. on the back of the bottle, a reminder of the curves of an “S”.

Meet Mr. Asahi, world's first robotic bartender in Malaysia!

I love beer. Ok this is not a news.

Attended the launch of Mr. Asahi, world's first robotic bartender some time ago. To remind you again, Asahi Malaysia are touring around Malaysia with the adorable ones to showcase you the brainchild of Japanese brewer Asahi!

So FatLou joined the fun during one of their showcase spot which was in Changkat with mii gorgeous MHB girls last Friday night.

Asahi means Rising Sun. Karakuchi is a unique brewing method using a special yeast strain. The added adjective 'Super' is to reinforce the beer's crispness. Asahi Super Dry is Japan's first Karakuchi (dry) beer -- the No. 1 in Japan, the No. 1 Japanese beer in the world, and one of the world's fastest growing premium Asian beers.

Introduced in 1987, Asahi Super Dry, packaged with a metallic exterior/casing, boasts a unique Karakuchi style that is clean, crisp, refreshing with no bitterness.

Mr. Asahi, the world’s first robotic barman, is capable of serving people in less than two minutes, saving the average person 13 minutes at the bar. Capable of pulling 300ml pints and opening bottles, Mr. Asahi can serve up to 16 half pints or bottles at a time.



Mr. Asahi is on a nationwide tour with a crew comprising of dancers, a DJ and a customized truck that unfolds into a mini party-space where ever he is. Visitors can try the refreshing Asahi draught poured by Mr. Asahi and to take part in the entertainment and games organized by the team.

Couldn't stand the heat on the street and the gang decided to extend the joy with  more Asahi draught in their superb cute beer tower and so we went off to the Bier Bar (next to El Cerdo along Changkat). First time in the bar and I like it!

Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase and Afterparty @ Vertigo, The Gardens

The pursuit of perfection can be a trifle inconvenient when one goes to unnecessary lengths for the sake of true distinction. Resonating perfection as such is the SOUNDFORM Fluid – a stunning, sculptural bar that brings to life the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ philosophy advocated by Glenmorangie.

Officially unveiled days ago at The Gardens in Mid Valley, the SOUNDFORM Fluid bar was designed by renowned architect and interior designer Philip Michael Wolfson for Glenmorangie, and it was inspired by the sonograph reading of the sound of Glenmorangie whisky being poured into a crystal glass.

Statuesquely taking the centre stage at the North Atrium of The Gardens Mall, the SOUNDFORM Fluid is an evocative sight. Its bold jagged edges are covered in a black aluminium finish on the exterior, while the golden orange interior, which mimics the colour of Glenmorangie, is lit up to create an aesthetic, visual counter balance. Complementing the stunning display was commentary by Glenmorangie Malaysia’s Brand Manager, Michael Tan, who explained the concept that sparked the creation of the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ SOUNDFORM Fluid bar.

“Philip Michael Wolfson has always brought on a tremendous complexity to his work that pushes the boundaries of design. His design philosophy exactly mirrors our philosophy with the birthing of a standout custom made bar showpiece created through the distillation of the sound of a pour of Glenmorangie. From the outset, while the bar may look like a twisted form of metal; but it is truly the meticulous attention to detail and the spirit of innovation that has went into the formulation of the final showpiece that serves as a perfect tribute to the whiskey that birthed it,” Tan added.

Glenmorangie single malt whisky obtains its multi-layered aromas and kaleidoscopic flavours through maturation in fine oak casks, obtained from the Ozark Mountains. While there are many perfectly good single malt whiskies matured in casks that are re-used up to eight times, Glenmorangie goes the extra mile for that added elegance in its whisky by only ever using their casks twice. At its Tain distillery in the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie employs the tallest whisky stills in Scotland, ensuring only the purest vapours are used in the spirit.

After the showcase, the crowd adjourned to Vertigo for the after-party featuring US DJ duo Manufactured superstars, who supplied a steady flow of house, dance and electro pop into the night.

Unveiling the story of Glenmonrangie.

Glenmorangie's "Unnecessarily Well Made".

With multi-layered aromas and kaleidoscopic flavours which it stimulates the senses and entice the palate, Glenmorangie is arguably the most delicious and complex single malt whisky in the world.

The Glenmorangie distillery lies in the far north of Scotland, in the Royal Burgh of Tain, Ross-shire.

Single malt whisky obtains its flavour from the wooden casks used in maturation. Many of of them are made from white oaks grown on the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, USA.
Glenmorangie casks are only ever used twice, to ensure the optimal amount of flavour is extracted into the whisky.

The casks will then be stored in low stone-built buildings with earthen floors, permeated by fresh sea-air, a gentle local climate ensuring a steady path to full maturity. Over 100 years and seasoned naturally in the open air for two years to preserve their porous texture - a quality that adds the spirit's intriguing depth

While there are many perfectly good single malt whiskies made in shorter stills, the Glenmorangie Distillery utilizes swan-necked stills that are the tallest in Scotland at sixteen feet, ten and one quarter (5.14m) high.

The height means that only the lightest and purest vapours are able to ascend to the top and condense into spirit, contributing to Glenmorangie's distinctive and layered flavour.

The superiority of the ingredients - local spring water from its own Tarlogie spring and locally grown Scottish barley, combined with the skill of the craftsmen who follow the same, time honoured approach that the company has used throughout its long history, result in a smooth spirit of distinction.

Kiss me, would ya?

Eyeliner could be troublesome. But use it correctly, it make your eyes pop!
Should you line it inside, or maybe out? Which should you go for, the pencil or liquid, maybe gel?

First you gotta know the difference and select your favorite type of formulas,
the liquid eyeliner, eye pencil(wax or powder based), or gel eyeliner.
You could use anything, as long as you're comfortable with it. :)

Many have asked me what do I use for eye makeup?
I basically use everything! Usually depends on occasion - the daily "off to work" or dramatic bold eye for party. I've tried quite a number of eye liners available on the market over the years. Of course I know which is good, or not.

I personally prefer gel eyeliner the most because it is the easiest ones to create bold eyeliner; perfect for both upper and lower lines. What to do, small eyes I have here.

How do you think I got this look to go party?! :D Gotta do some magic for it somehow.

So the most recent eyeliner that I have with me is gel eyeliner from Kiss Me, affordable price at RM54.90 only. And it comes with a eyeliner brush which make it a plus!

Now we proceed to eyeliners.
To avoid mistake and ended up in a mess, I suggest is you start out with a thin line and let the line get a little thicker as you work your way across the lid.

Spot the difference! *roflmao*

Complete the other side and continue with lower lids.
Draw the line inside out and make it slightly thicker at the outside corner, magic as I was saying - to magnify your eyes! ;)

p/s: In case you are frustrated of eyeliners smudging off and gets oily by mid afternoon, here's a little tricks ; Use eye shadows or shimmer! Not necessary dark color but shimmer do wonders too!
