Ozeki Tokyo Cuisine, Jln P.Ramlee

I'm always a big fan to Japanese food, not every one of them but those who serve fresh food and I can be especially picky when it says 'authentic'. This one? They said it loud "The Best Japanese in Town!", sounds a little cheeky don't they? But I've heard many good comments from friends and colleagues (she's handling the account) so I thought we should give it a try since it's only 10 minutes away from home.

It's sort of located in Menara TA in Jalan P.Ramlee, it is kinda hidden that you might missed it without paying attention. So yea, it took the blur-fish some time to get into the parking (open car park on the right).

P1100554

Walked into a wide dining area with open-concept kitchen, we were greeted from the staff and got our seat behind a private partition.

P1100545

P1100543

Glanced through the menu and I saw Bashashi (raw horse meat)! Not many Japanese restaurant in KL serve this and I thought it was a little too wild for my taste so we skipped it.
So first on the table we had my all time favourite - Edamame bean (RM 9).

P1100508

1 Chawanmushi (RM 8) for each of us, it took them a while to prepare this but man it was hell lotsa tickle to my tastebud! The flavour from each ingredient in it was so strong and fresh! I usually leave the ginkgo seeds cuz most of the time what I got was weird in taste but I actually gulp the entire bowl down. Probably the best I've ever had.

P1100532

California Maki (RM 19), no one can ever do this wrong, am I right? :)

P1100539

Spicy Fire Tuna Maki (RM 28), fear not the fire. It is not at all like it's name. There were some Korean spicy pickles and spices which taste more sweet than spicy to us. But still, the taste actually blends well with each other so we're more than happy to have it.

P1100509

Sushi & Sashio Moriawase - Kiku standard grade (RM 95), includes tako, tuna, salmon, white tuna, hotate, tamago, and more! We definitely enjoy them with the ultra kick from the fresh grind wasabi. Though I heard from my colleague, they have air-flown delivery twice a week (on Monday and Thursday if I'm not mistaken), so better option for you to visit on one of these two days.

P1100517

P1100513

Soft Shell Crab Spicy Age (RM 28) - crunchy bites with teriyaki sauce then again, it wasn't spicy that I'm guessing the definition of spicy is different between me and the Japanese. Or it wasn't suppose to be spicy that it's just a name? Correct me please?

P1100522

We ordered a special of the month from the tent cards placed on table, Wagyu something (RM 68) I can't remember but I think it was American wagyu that it was too dry and wasn't up to expectation.

P1100526

Top the night with a bottle of Sake to your best satisfaction I would say. That "the best" comment is of course up to personal opinion, overall it was really a great dinner and we will definitely go back for more!

Back from Thailand.

Greetings!

As you can see from my facebook/twitter updates,
I'm back from the awesome-pawsome 9days trip to Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi islands!

Beautiful islands, image-like scenery, Thai massage, snokerling, and even scuba diving to swim with sharks and fishes, it was heck a lot of unforgettable experiences! It was absolutely took away all the pressure and stress from work and man, I feel the poweeeeer!

Indulged ourselves in way too many authentic Thai cuisine, daily flow of Singha and Chang beer under the sunshine, oh life oh life..

Now, it's gonna take some time to recover from the tan (like Indian)... :x

Stay tuned for more beautiful updates soon!

Esquire Malaysia’s Best Dressed Real Men @ Circus KL

Men: "Dress up seems simple. Dress up is easy."

Wrong! That's the most common mistake in most of the people especially some young men who lives without a clue how to dress! Well that could be pain in the eyes, sometimes. :P
Dressing does not make a man but I always believe the right outfit enhance your personal image with a perfect touch, and you make the girl falls.

The second year of Esquire Malaysia's Best Dressed Real Men, a Malaysia take on the Esquire UK's "Britain's Best Dressed Real Men" competition that started three months ago finally announce the winner in a super dramatic style in KL's hottest venue, Circus.

The Best Dressed Real Man Malaysia is based on a key fashionpillar in the UK, Britain's Best Dressed Real Man, and has run to much fanfare in London. As such, it asks normal, non-celebrity men to send in their photos, demonstrate their fashion sense, be that with luxury brands or just interesting combinations that spell STYLE.

So 200 contestants, nights of judging, fighting and throwing of plates and glasses, we've got the winners of the Best Dressed Real Man 2012; Roslan Said!

Roslan SaidDesign Associate43was crowned as Malaysia’s Best Dressed Real Man 2012 and receives bespoke tailoring from Wardrobe, a Leica compact camera, a Storm London watch of his choice, Penhaligon’s Perfume, Lustro vouchers and best of all, a framed picture of his Esquire shoot. “Roslan carries himself well. I liked that he was older and willing to join a competition where he knew that most of the competition would be young dudes. He still brought it to the table, out-dressed the others and also knew what he was talking about,” said Rudy La Faber, 2011 Best Dressed Real Man.

Cool.

I've always like the difference of beauty from colours and the story it tells.
Rain poured without notice or any expectation,
we had a cold shower under the rain by running from one spot to the other to get to the destination.
Listening to the conversation from next table, splurging on the new buys from the mall and hmmm; dull. Make the night nothing better with the blue-ish mood.

Took a quick glance through the menu and there is naughty, flirty, sociable, many more and one had caught my attention - cool.

577154_10151061099022651_72212863_n

Sipping the drinks in utterly cool blue, it makes me sing.

Is your favourite colour blue?
And do you always tell the truth?
Do you believe in outer space?
I'm learning you.

....................

Back to your drinks, now.

To Arthurs! And... Kelly :)

So it's back! Arthur's day 2012 pre-celebration in Malaysia.
I remember my first time joining the celebration was in Sid's TTDI last year, walking into a happening and friendly crowd drowning in their fantabulous drinks on hand.

Back to the scene exactly one year later on a beautiful Sunday afternoon,
nothing different but more merrier it is.

530500_430412823671857_1987177133_n

Cheers from a pint of awesomeness with my lovelies from MHB and Geoff.

One year ago today, at the same spot we met.
Making it our first anniversary with the lover!
Please tell me that I still look the same, at least still young etc.

cats

Always wonder if I could pull off a perfect pint of Guinness and so I finally tried.
I should be punished if I couldn't, like seriously. :-t

Now enjoy my love at first sip.

400842_431328116913661_1700499102_n

It's been so long since I last hang out in Sid's since I'm always tied up with work. Becoming more and more lifeless that I have no time for things I love anymore! I miss seeing the familiar faces around. :(
But the afternoon did compensate all the grumpiness accumulated from work.

To Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrthurs!
