Afternoon Tea Party by Palace of Golden Horses and the Night After.

I spend most of my weekend lazing around with friends to kill the blue from past hectic week. I could spend my entire afternoon in coffee shop, sipping a Mojito somewhere, some sunshine by the pool or whatever Garfiled activities you could relate.

Last Saturday, I was invited to join an afternoon tea party in Palace of the Golden Horses; as a token of appreciation of hitting 5000 likes on their Facebook fanpage.

Heard so much about this place since I was a kid and finally stepped my foot in for the first time.

The hotel is surrounded by lovely green environment and of course, the uniqueness of horse theme used. Though time has definitely leave some flaws to it's beauty. Perhaps they could conduct a serious renovation to keep it well, soon.

However, I certainly had a pleasant afternoon with the bloggers. Met up with the long-time-no-see fellows and many new faces too!

A photo booth with props ready for guests after the registration counter. I'm sure none of us skipped this section, it was so cute that we actually wanted to smuggle the props away. :P

LouiseXin with moustache, how is that?

As the party started, a lovely range of pastries were served as finger food. The food prepared in the beginning couldn't accommodate the hunger of every attendees, and gosh! The moment of food disappearing from plate within 30 second, epic!

Spotted this charming little princess; she want more!

We've heard how spacious Palace of the Golden Horses, never imagined I would run all around for one of the activities they organized; "Amazing Horses Race". You could probably relate what it possibly is, a bunch of mad ladies running around the entire resort solving the queries to final GOAL. :S

My Amazing Horses Race team; The Blur Ones.

The host of the tea party was extremely friendly. They greeted almost everyone who came to the party and of course, the 'takepica' moment with us.

There is no doubt everyone had fun and enjoy the afternoon tea party. Though the little 'workout' session might caused me a minor muscle ache days after due to my 'long-time-no-sports' lifestyle.

So I rushed home after the tea party ended and get ready for the second party at night;
Super GT Queen Malaysia 2012 After Party @ The Stage KL.

Met some friends from China. See the one on the most left? One ultra-cool mummy.

Because we need a break.

I assume most of you don't know what I work for a living; sales exec for alcohol supplying to majority of restaurants, pubs & clubs, and hotels in town. Very cool, you must have thought. Wrong! It is unbelievably tiring and stress! More than twelve hours at work by covering over hundreds of outlets monthly is definitely not as pleasant experience.

Therefore I need a break!

Two weeks ago, we took an evening drive up North for a peaceful weekend, I was rather impressed by my ability of driving that far. :P Spent a night in Penang before Langkawi. Seven years since my last visit here.

Langkawi Lagoon Resort

Arrived around 12pm, which was too early for hotel check-in and it leaves us wondering around the hotel in totally remote area without much activities. Feeling grumpy and hunger strikes at the same time, we decided to rent a car to tour around.

Drove to Pantai Cenang which is just 10 minutes away, we went for a real exciting ones - parachute and jetski. Unforgettable memories watching the boy get hype-up with his ride. What's more exciting to me was the parachute. Ride the wind under the parachute, we were thrilled by the beauty from hundreds of feet above the sea.

Big boy enjoying his sunshine.

All the grumpiness were gone by the time we got back to hotel, happily checked-in and off we head to the pool before the sun goes down. In fact there was what we spent most time during the stayed.

Obsession? Furless, be fearless.

Like many other girls, we all have a little secrets for something to keep ourself beautiful yet refreshing. Beauty salon, hair dressing, pedi/medi and of course the painful treats - waxing. (How do you think girls manage to pull off the bikini's look? )

Popped my cherry of experiencing waxing was few months back then, suggested by the bff @KellySiew. Anxious yet excited as a first timer, it surprisingly turned out just fine but the pain was shocking!

So I went to several waxing salon and of course, not every outlet is a good one (some do double dipping which is extremely unhygienic and etc) and I came across Furless.

Hairless? Furless.

Furless, located in ground floor of Block B Jaya One (walk towards left if Brussels is on your right),  providing beauty, spas and personal care to girls and boys.

The superb friendly owner of Furless, Aprel understand the fear in some girls for their first time experience, she emphasize that painless treatment is very important and they do take longer time than the rest; to ensure the treatment is carry out perfectly. I was told that they uses three different types of wax for different types of hair depending on individual.

Products used by Furless.

20120705_161728

Notice the different from the ones I used to visit, they have three different pot instead of just one, consisting three different types of wax. Pink for the sensitive skin; green for long hair; orange for short hair.

The spa attendant was very experienced and friendly by explaining all products she's gonna use before proceeding to the treatment. She takes time to ensure that everything was clean and good, also constantly check if I'm comfortable with the temperature and can I bare with the pain. Mii likey!

20120705_161715

Spotted this cute little thing aside? I don't really know what this is but it is for a cooling treatment after the waxing; together with the refreshing milk and gel to reduce the redness and pain.

20120705_161358

I wonder, was it because of the wax or the machine (maybe the combination of both); to be honest I don't feel much pain compare to the ones I visited before, which was pretty much close to 'painless'.
Overall I really like the environment and services there;  plus the price is affordable (providing  which I will definitely visit again. :)
